Rain alert issued for Lahore

LAHORE:

An alert has been issued for the ninth and probably last monsoon spell.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted rain in Lahore from September 14 to 17 and directed the departments concerned to ensure advance measures.

According to the PMD, there is a fear of urban flooding in Lahore due to monsoon rains, in view of which the relevant institutions have been instructed to complete the necessary arrangements.

The department says that the weather of Lahore is likely to improve after the rain. On the other hand, the weather in the city remained hot.
