Edhi bus takes 36 stranded women, children home

KARACHI:
The Edhi Foundation has launched a special initiative to reunite 25 women and girls and 11 children who became separated from their families in the metropolis with their loved ones.
According to the foundation chairman, Faisal Edhi, a special bus carrying the 36 women and children left Karachi to take them to their respective hometowns and reunite them with their families. Most of those on board know their home addresses, he said, adding that efforts would be made to safely hand them over to their relatives.
Muhammad Ibrahim, 15, said he had travelled to Karachi from Mandi Bahauddin with a friend but lost his way. Eleven-year-old Muhammad Ayan, from Khanpur Katora, said he had also arrived in Karachi before becoming separated from his family.
