ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are likely to begin talks on September 23 for the fourth review of the country's over $7 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme.

According to sources, discussions will also cover the third review of the $1.4 billion Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF) programme aimed at addressing climate-related challenges.

The reviews of both programmes are expected to be conducted simultaneously.

During the talks, the IMF and Pakistani authorities will assess the country's economic performance.
