Naqi, Qadir vie for AJK presidency

Strong contenders have emerged in the race for the next president of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), with Dr Najib Naqi and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir being tipped as leading candidates for the coveted post.

According to

sources, the final decision on the PML-N nominee will be made by party president Nawaz Sharif, while the presidential election is expected to be held by September 29.
