Ayub Medical College closes after student clash

ABBOTTABAD:

A clash between two groups of students during a sports match at Ayub Medical College (AMC) on Thursday escalated into a major confrontation, leaving four students injured.

The injured students were shifted to hospital for medical treatment, while college security and police personnel reached the spot and launched action against those involved. Police have also received an application seeking the registration of a case against 25 students.

Meanwhile, the college administration has started vacating the hostels and arranged buses to transport students to bus stands. In view of the tense situation, the Dean of Ayub Medical College issued a notification ordering closure of the college until further orders.
