Sonya Hussaiyn unveils first look at upcoming song 'Tasveer'

Actor joins Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Abrarul Haq for a visually stylised musical collaboration

Actor Sonya Hussaiyn has offered fans a first look at her upcoming song Tasveer, a musical collaboration that brings her together with legendary singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and singer Abrarul Haq.

Hussaiyn took to Instagram to share the official poster for the track, which brings the three artists together for what appears to be an elegant and visually stylised project.

The song is set to be released soon, with the announcement already building anticipation among fans.

The caption accompanying the poster read: “Presenting the official poster of our upcoming song, Tasveer. A special collaboration with the legendary Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, featuring the beautiful Sonya Hussyn. Stay tuned!”

The first look gives little away about the song itself, but the visual language of the project leans heavily into classic styling and a polished, romantic atmosphere. Hussaiyn later shared additional snippets, offering a closer glimpse at the world being created around “Tasveer”.

In the glimpses, the actor appears in a striking blue sari, with different shades of blue woven through her overall look and the surrounding setting. Her traditional styling gives the scenes an elegant, timeless quality, while the carefully coordinated visuals add to the sense of an old-school musical romance.

Khan and Haq, meanwhile, appear in formal suits and bow ties. One visual places the two singers beside a piano, while another appears to show them writing or working on a letter. Together, the images suggest a narrative built around music, nostalgia and romance.

While Hussaiyn is primarily recognised for her work across television and film, music videos have given the actor space to explore a different side of her screen presence. Her previous appearances in musical projects have seen her become part of visual narratives that draw on both contemporary and traditional Pakistani music.

She appeared in Ki Jana, a music video by Shani Arshad released in 2020. She also appeared in Payal, a classical music video by Wahdat Rameez. 

Those appearances have allowed Hussaiyn to move between acting and music-video performances, using her screen presence to complement musical narratives rather than simply occupying a conventional acting role.

Tasveer continues that thread while bringing her into a collaboration with two established voices from Pakistan’s music industry.
