Bodies of man, woman found in water channels

The bodies of an unidentified man and woman were found in a canal and a drainage channel in separate incidents in Faisalabad, with police suspecting that both may have been murdered.
According to police, the body of an unidentified man, believed to be around 50 years old, was found floating in a canal along Samundri Road in the jurisdiction of D-Type Colony police station.
Local residents spotted the body in the water and informed the police.
A police team, with the assistance of Rescue 1122, reached the spot, recovered the body and shifted it to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police launched efforts to establish the man's identity and trace his family.
In another incident, the body of an unidentified woman, believed to be around 35 years old, was found in a drain near Chak 580-GB in the jurisdiction of Rodala police station.
A local farmer spotted the body and informed the police. The body was recovered from the drain and shifted to hospital.
Police said the woman appeared to have been murdered before her body was disposed of in the water channel.
Meanwhiles, two men died by suicide in separate incidents in Faisalabad, with police saying the deaths occurred over domestic disputes and unknown reasons.
According to police, 30-year-old Saqib, son of Muhammad Ashraf, a resident near Cemetery Mor, Dhuddiwala Stop in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station, shot himself in the head for unknown reasons.
He sustained critical injuries and was initially taken to Civil Hospital before being shifted to Allied Hospital, where he later died.
