Suspected robber allegedly shot by accomplices

LAHORE:

A suspected robber was arrested after allegedly being hit by firing from his accomplices during an exchange of fire with police in Kahna.

His two accomplices managed to escape.

The incident occurred near Kankar Road when a police team conducting snap checking signalled three suspicious men to stop. Instead, the men allegedly opened fire on the police, prompting retaliatory firing.

During the exchange, one of the suspects, Usman, was wounded after allegedly being struck by bullets fired by his accomplices.

The police shifted the injured suspect to a hospital for treatment and launched a search for his fleeing accomplices. The police claimed that Usman was a habitual offender with more than 50 cases registered against him.
