Malakand-like operation required in Karachi: Taj Haider

KARACHI: PPP leader Taj Haider asked the government to launch an operation in Karachi in line with the one conducted against anti-state elements in Malakand Agency, on Wednesday.

Haider said that all political parties should be taken on board to develop a consensus for carrying out an operation. He said various groups and mafias are behind the violence and they should be targeted irrespective of their political affiliation.

He also called for increasing coordination between police and provincial intelligence agencies to end unrest in Karachi.
