Pakistan down Chinese Taipei in Junior Asia Cup
Lareeb and Sharqa score one goal apiece to help their side seal 2-1 win

Pakistan secured a 2-1 victory over Chinese Taipei in the Challenger Pool of the Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2026 on Monday.
Lareeb Abid put Pakistan ahead in the 30th minute before Chen Xiao-Qing equalised for Chinese Taipei four minutes later.
Pakistan restored their lead in the 50th minute when Sharqa Sarwar scored a field goal, and the junior side held on for the win until the final whistle.

Pakistan Hockey Federation president Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani congratulated the team on the victory and expressed hope that the players would maintain their winning momentum in the remaining matches of the tournament.
