Woman alleges abduction, rape

Taxila police on Friday registered a case against several people over allegations of abduction and sexual assault on a woman, a resident of Islamabad's E-11 sector.

According to police, the case was registered on the woman's complaint under Sections 375 and 367-A of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). In her complaint, the woman alleged that the main suspect, Adnan Khan, took her to a farmhouse on the pretext of introducing her to his family for marriage.

She alleged that she was given a narcotic substance at the farmhouse before being subjected to sexual assault and threatened with death.

She also named a woman, identified as Hira, and others in her complaint.

Police said the woman had initially approached Shalimar police and submitted an application. According to the police, the location of the farmhouse was traced to Taxila, Rawalpindi, through call detail records (CDR).

Shalimar police subsequently arranged the woman's medical examination at a hospital and preserved DNA samples as part of the investigation. The matter was later referred to Taxila police, who registered the case on the woman's complaint.

However, Taxila police said during the initial investigation, no farmhouse was found within the area indicated by the mobile phone tower location.
