IHC orders JIT to trace missing girl

The Islamabad High Court has constituted a joint investigation team (JIT), headed by the DIG Islamabad Police, to recover Aisha Fatima, a girl who has been missing for seven months.
The JIT comprises the SSP Investigation, representatives of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB), and a female police officer.
The team has been directed to continue efforts to trace and recover the missing girl until she is found.
The court ordered the JIT to investigate all possible aspects, including social media data, financial transactions and the possibility of the girl being taken abroad. Police, FIA, IB and all other relevant departments have been directed to fully cooperate with the JIT.
Islamabad High Court Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro issued the written order in the case. According to the order, the court said the girl's failure to be recovered for seven months required an immediate and effective investigation.
