Hina Javed murder probe expands

The investigation into the murder of Hina Javed is continuing. According to sources, Hina Javed's husband and employee Zeeshan Arshad, who remained in police custody on a 10-day physical remand, have now been sent on judicial remand.

Sources said the special investigation team, headed by SSP Investigation Saifullah, had started recording separate statements of police officers, personnel and others.

Sources said the team first summoned the staff of Tariqabad police post, who received the initial information, followed by the ASI and other officers and personnel who arrived later,.

Police officers and personnel told investigators that Hina's father-in-law came and informed them that thieves had entered the house. When they reached the spot, the locks and handles of the doors were broken. On inquiry, an employee present there told them that one person had run outside while another was inside.

When Hina's father-in-law was questioned, he told investigators that his son and daughter-in-law Hina Javed lived in one apartment, where an employee also slept in one portion. He said the upper apartment was occupied by him and his wife, who was seriously ill and bedridden, and a woman had been employed to look after her.
