Police conduct raids to arrest fugitive suspect

A 21-year-old Christian woman, Saba Mehboob, was allegedly shot dead after a man entered her house in the Ratta Amral area, with police registering a case of murder, kidnapping and house trespass, among other charges, on the complaint of the victim's stepbrother.
According to the FIR, the suspect accused Saba of infidelity before opening fire at her. After the murder, the victim's stepbrother was also allegedly kidnapped and kept in illegal confinement for 21 hours.
During the investigation, the previous criminal record of nominated fugitive suspect Adnan Butt and his two brothers also came to light.
According to police records, 33 cases have been registered against the three brothers in total, including cases involving drugs, illegal weapons, fighting, theft, robbery, dacoity and rioting.
Police said Saba Mehboob was married to Zeeshan Mahmood but had been living separately from her husband at her parents' home due to domestic disputes.
According to the FIR registered at Ratta Amral police station on the complaint of Saba's stepbrother, neighbour Adnan Butt allegedly entered the house with a pistol at around 9pm on Sept 3.
The suspect allegedly abused Saba and, accusing her of infidelity, opened direct fire at her. The bullet hit Saba on the forehead, killing her on the spot.
According to the FIR, after the murder, suspect Adnan Butt and his accomplice also allegedly kidnapped the victim's stepbrother. The suspects threatened to kill him if he informed the police about the incident.
