Mother suspected of killing infant

MURREE:

Police investigators probing the tragic killing of a two-month-old baby, who was allegedly thrown into a drain in Murree a couple of days ago, identified the victim's mother as the prime suspect.

Initial probe indicates that the killing might have been linked to the child's mother.

The Murree DPO said the baby was allegedly thrown into a drain on September 1. Police later recovered the child's body from the drain.

The child's mother, Nabeela, already has six children, while the deceased baby was her seventh. Police said during investigation, the suspect cited her inability to raise another child.
