Sajal Aly wins praise for emotionally charged 'Zanjeerein' performance

Sajal Aly drew widespread praise from viewers following the latest episode of Zanjeerein, with fans particularly captivated by her emotionally explosive confrontation with Usman Javed's character.
Social media users were quick to applaud Aly’s portrayal of heartbreak, fury and helplessness in the high-stakes sequence, with many describing the performance as one of the drama’s standout moments.
“Best scene of the whole drama” one viewer wrote, while another added, “Waited the whole drama for this plot twist”.For viewers, however, it was Aly’s command of the scene that appeared to leave the strongest impression. Moving between shock, disbelief, rage and sorrow, the actor used her expressions and body language to convey the depth of Rabiya’s emotional turmoil.
“Her eyes when she was strangling him…Oh my God those were the eyes of pure hatred and revenge. How can someone be so goated in acting even with eyes”, one fan commented.
Others also said they had shed tears while watching Aly cry and tremble.
While the confrontation itself delivered plenty of drama, fan reactions suggested that Aly’s performance had become the episode’s defining talking point. Her ability to convey multiple emotions without losing the character’s vulnerability appeared to resonate strongly with audiences.
At the same time, other viewers stressed that Javed also deserved praise for his villainous portrayal.
“Sajal was phenomenal but can we appreciate Usman Javed too? The way his expressions and body language portrayed shock and then moved to embarrassment and guilt all while still very strong with love for Rabiya”, one fan wrote, adding, “What a performance by Sajal and Usman”.
Another added, “Usman Javed is so underrated. I truly wish him more success, recognition, and appreciation for his work. He deserves so much more”.
As Zanjeerein continued to raise the stakes for its central characters, Rabiya’s confrontation with Torsam gave fans plenty to discuss. Judging by the response online, it was Aly and Javed’s emotionally charged performances that remained firmly in the spotlight.
The series was nearing its conclusion, with its second-last episode scheduled to air next Wednesday.
