Pakistan beat Hong Kong in AHF Junior Asia Cup

Pakistan’s junior women made a winning start to their AHF Junior Asia Cup 2026 campaign, defeating Hong Kong China 2-0 in their opening Challenger Pool match on Friday.

Shariqa was the star for Pakistan, scoring both goals to secure the victory.

She opened the scoring with a field goal in the 34th minute before doubling Pakistan’s advantage in the 48th minute.

Pakistan maintained their attacking intent while remaining disciplined at the back, preventing Hong Kong China from finding the net and securing a clean sheet.

The Pakistan Junior Women’s team wore jerseys sponsored by Alaska Batteries during the match.

Pakistan Hockey Federation president Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani congratulated the players and officials on the performance and expressed hope that the team would maintain their winning momentum in the upcoming matches.
