Kaghan Authority set to go digital

PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa took another step towards paperless governance and digital public services as the K-P Information Technology Board (ITB) and the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Provincial Minister for Information, Science and Information Technology Shafi Jan.

Under the agreement, the KDA's office affairs and official records will be digitised, while an online platform will be established for regulatory approvals and the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs).

Speaking on the occasion, Shafi Jan said the MoU represented practical progress towards paperless and cashless governance, promotion of tourism and greater ease of doing business. He said paperless governance would not only save time and public resources but also improve transparency and efficiency in government affairs.

He said the provincial government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, was taking effective measures to improve public services and facilities in line with the vision of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan. The government, he added, was ensuring the effective use of technology to provide citizens with faster, transparent and convenient services.
