Balochistan PA condemns Sadiq Umrani's remarks
Calls for expunging them from official record

The Balochistan Assembly on Thursday adopted a joint condemnation resolution against Provincial Minister Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, calling for the remarks he made during the August 31 session to be expunged from the official record.
Provincial Minister Mir Ali Madad Jattak tabled the resolution, which was supported by Ministers Ziaullah Langau, Noor Muhammad Dummar and Bakht Kakar. MPAs Barkat Rind, Asfandyar Kakar, Hadiya Nawaz and Farah Azeem Shah were also among the lawmakers who moved the resolution.
The lawmakers expressed concern over the language used by Sadiq Umrani in his speech, saying his remarks had offended the people of Balochistan.
While speaking in the assembly, Ali Madad Jattak referred to Umrani's claim that 235 people from Balochistan were summoned to Islamabad and subjected to humiliation.
Jattak rejected the criticism and said the people of Balochistan had been accorded respect at the conference. He also questioned the consistency of Umrani's statements, noting that he had been appointed parliamentary leader by their party.
