IHC disposes early hearing pleas in tweets case

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday disposed of miscellaneous applications seeking an early hearing of sentence suspension pleas filed by convicted social activists Imaan Zainab Mazari Hazir and Hadi Ali Chattha in the controversial tweets case, as their main applications are already scheduled for hearing on Sept 8.

Justice Azam Khan heard the applications. Azad informed the court that the sentence suspension applications had already been fixed for hearing on Sept 8 and that the Supreme Court had also been apprised of the matter.
