Parents call for inquiry into class IX results
The class IX examination results of two government higher secondary schools in Makhdoom Pur Pahoran have raised concerns among parents, who have called for an inquiry into the schools' academic performance.
Sources said only three out of 121 students who appeared for the Class IX examination from the Government Higher Secondary School for Boys, Makhdoom Pur Pahoran, were declared successful.
The reported low pass rate has prompted questions among parents and residents about the school's academic performance and teaching arrangements.
The results of the Government Higher Secondary School for Girls, Makhdoom Pur Pahoran, were also reported to be disappointing. Of the 257 female students who appeared in the Class IX examination, only 70 were declared successful, according to the available figures.
The reported results have caused concern among parents, who said such low pass rates at government educational institutions warranted serious attention from the authorities.
They urged senior officials of the education department to conduct an immediate and transparent inquiry into the results of both schools and determine the factors behind the low success rates.
The parents also called for effective measures to improve the quality of education, strengthen teaching standards and ensure better academic outcomes for students in the area.
