The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) have agreed to launch joint water conservation and environment-friendly projects under a public-private partnership.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by PHA Lahore Managing Director Ahmed Usman Javed, which was attended by a WWF delegation led by Sohail Naqvi.
The two organisations will collaborate on initiatives aimed at conserving water, improving groundwater levels and promoting urban forestry in Lahore.
As part of the partnership, four recharge wells will be constructed at different locations.
