LAHORE:

Police launched an investigation after an armed man intercepted a Punjab Secretariat bus carrying employees on Saggian Road at around 8:40am near the Dolphin force headquarters in Shahdara.

The suspect travelling in a vehicle stopped it in front of the government bus and got out of his vehicle while carrying a pistol.

He struck the bus with the butt of the weapon, abused the occupants and threatened them. The suspect fled when traffic became congested and a crowd gathered, according to a police report.

The bus driver, Rashid Mahmood, a resident of Sheikhupura, submitted an application to Shahdara police. seeking legal action. The police said they were investigating the incident and attempting to identify the suspect.
