Policeman martyred in Karak IED blast

KARAK:

Unidentified terrorists on Monday targeted a police patrol vehicle in Karak district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) using a remotely controlled improvised explosive device (IED), an explosion that resulted in the martyrdom of the driver and injured six policemen.

The incident took place in the mountainous Ghol Banda area of Bahadur Khel Union Council in Karak's Banda Daud Shah tehsil. According to sources, the police van was heading toward the Sra Darga area when the IED planted on the road detonated.

As a result of the explosion all people onboard received injuries. They were identified as Syed Shah, Nor, Imran, Shamim, Gohar, Yasin and Wajid. Wajid succumbed to his wounds.
