Infected: Eight-year-old dies of dengue

KHAIRPUR: An eight-year-old boy, Akhtiar Hussain Junejo, died of dengue fever on Wednesday. He was a resident of Waryo Wahan village. He was brought to the Ranipur hospital where the doctors diagnosed him with dengue and and referred him to Nawabshah, but he died on the way there. Even though the district government received funds to fumigate the area, the town municipal administrations have not done the work. The health department said that only one vehicle of the Khairpur administration is working. So far more than seven cases of dengue have been reported in the district.
