'Target killer' dies in alleged shootout
An alleged target killer was killed in an exchange of fire between CCD personnel and alleged suspects on Adiala Road, while his three accomplices escaped.
According to CCD sources, the deceased suspect was wanted by police in more than 30 cases of murder, target killing, robbery and bank van robbery in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
According to CCD sources, personnel were conducting a check on Adiala Road when four alleged suspects opened fire on the police party. The personnel retaliated, and one suspect was killed during the exchange of fire. He was identified as Adnan, while his three accomplices escaped from the scene.
Sources said Adnan was highly wanted in several serious incidents of murder and target killing. He was also accused of killing a security guard during a bank van robbery.
