KARACHI:

The Sindh Health Department has decided to digitise the leave management system for its officers and employees, announcing the end of the traditional practice of submitting leave applications in paper form.

According to directives issued by the Sindh Health Department, from August 31, 2026, all officers and employees from BPS-16 to BPS-20 will be required to submit applications for all types of leave exclusively through the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) portal.

The orders state that after the stipulated date, leave applications submitted on paper or through any traditional method will not be accepted. Employees will be required to submit their leave requests through the HRMIS portal and obtain approval before proceeding on leave.

The health department has made it clear that any employee who remains absent from duty without submitting and obtaining approval for leave through HRMIS will be considered absent without notice.
