I-Work expands digital career opportunities: Sharjeel

Says system helps young people align their skills with global job market

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that I-Work has evolved into a comprehensive digital career ecosystem for the youth of the province. The system offers employment opportunities, modern courses and various facilities to help young people align their skills with the global job market.

In a statement, he said the number of active job opportunities on the platform had increased from 16,200 to 19,973, while the number of registered candidates had reached 121,000. Similarly, the number of jobs posted on the platform have risen from 23,400 to 26,890, which, he mentioned, is clear evidence of the platform's continued growth and the increasing interest of young people.

Sharjeel said more than 457,000 job applications had so far been submitted through I-Work for Sindh, reflecting the active participation of the province's youth and their determination to secure employment.

He said the Sindh government's objective was not merely to provide jobs to young people but also to prepare them for the demands of the modern economy. Under the 'Learn and Earn Programme', the number of youth who completed courses, had increased from 2,735 to 3,270. Meanwhile, more than 1,200 international courses were being offered to equip Sindh's youth with skills required in the global employment market.

The senior minister said the government aimed to make young people not merely job seekers but job-ready professionals. In this regard, modern facilities such as an AI-powered Auto CV Creator had been introduced, enabling young people to effectively showcase their skills and experience to the world using artificial intelligence and modern technology.

Sharjeel said the Sindh government was bringing opportunities closer to young people and taking practical steps to connect their skills with employment opportunities.

He said the Sindh government was committed to ensuring that employment opportunities for youth were not confined to traditional offices, but also reached their doorsteps through digital platforms.
