RAWALPINDI:

The six-day physical remand of Hina Javed's husband Faisal Asghar and employee Zeeshan, arrested in the murder case of 45-year-old digital designer Hina Javed in the upscale area falling under the jurisdiction of the Civil Lines police station, has ended.

Both suspects will be produced before a court again today, Saturday, August 29.

Both suspects will be produced before Civil Judge Abdul Majid of the Civil Lines police station. The investigation team will seek another five-day physical remand to recover the rope, cloth and other items allegedly used in the murder.

Defence lawyers will also appear for the suspects and oppose their physical remand, requesting that they be sent to Adiala Jail on judicial remand.

The investigation team told The Express Tribune that DNA and polygraph test reports would be received next week. The investigation phase will be completed after recovery of the alleged murder weapons.

The challan in the case will be presented before the court next week.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, victim's family spokesperson Sabha Bano Malik said the post-mortem report had confirmed fractures in Hina Javed's neck bones. She said the investigation should also cover the brutal violence and charges should be imposed accordingly.

The affected family is satisfied with the police investigation and will fully cooperate with police in seeking justice. She expressed hope that they would receive justice.
