Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has urged the federal government to expedite work on the long-delayed Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway, calling it as important for the province as the proposed upgradation of the 480-kilometre Karachi-Rohri railway track.
In a statement on Friday, Sharjeel said improved road connectivity between Sindh's major cities and industrial and commercial centres was vital for economic growth.
He said the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway would boost business activity, facilitate travel and strengthen trade links across the province.
"Completion of the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway will not only improve connectivity between different parts of Sindh but also promote trade, agriculture and industry while creating employment opportunities," he said.
