Boy rescued hours after abduction

ABBOTTABAD:

Police recovered a 12-year-old boy, who was allegedly abducted from Hassan Town in the jurisdiction of Sikandarabad Police Station, safely from Tarnol, Islamabad, within a few hours.

Three suspects allegedly demanding Rs100 million as ransom were arrested and the vehicle used in the incident was taken into custody.

According to police, the suspects were taking the child from Abbottabad towards Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

Abbottabad Cantt SP Salman Khan told a press conference that on the previous day, Muhammad Ibrahim, son of Shah Zaman and resident of Hassan Town, had lodged a report at Sikandarabad Police Station stating that his 12-year-old son Abdullah had not returned home after going outside.

According to initial information, the complainant's nephew, Owais Haroon, had taken the child out of the house on some pretext.
