Maya Khan recalls touching encounter with Indian mother, daughter during Umrah

A brief act of kindness in Makkah leaves television host touched by prayers and blessings she received in return

Actor and television host Maya Khan has shared a heartwarming memory from her Umrah, recalling a brief but meaningful encounter with an Indian mother and daughter in Makkah.

Taking to Instagram, Khan shared a photograph of herself with the mother and daughter, who had travelled from India to perform the pilgrimage. She said she had offered the pair some support and guidance as they made their way towards Maqam-e-Ibrahim.

Reflecting on the encounter, Khan wrote, “There was a mother and daughter from India. I merely supported them on their way to Maqam-e-Ibrahim, and in return, I received so many prayers and blessings. My prayer is that both of you are well and safe wherever you are.”

What began as a small act of assistance became a memorable moment for Khan, who said she was touched by the prayers and blessings she received in return.

The encounter also resonated with her followers for bringing together people from Pakistan and India — two neighbouring countries whose relationship has often been shaped by political tensions.
