Ayat Noor murder draws strong condemnation

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Science Technology and Information Technology Shafi Jan has strongly condemned the tragic murder of innocent girl Ayat Noor in Haripur and expressed deep grief over the incident.

In a press statement, the minister termed the murder an extremely tragic, heartbreaking and condemnable incident. He said Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi had taken serious notice of Ayat Noor's disappearance and directed the relevant authorities to take effective measures to trace her and investigate the matter.

Shafi Jan said police took effective action following the girl's disappearance and assured that no person involved in the tragic incident would be allowed to escape the law.

He said those responsible for Ayat Noor's murder would be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law. The provincial government, he added, would ensure a transparent and comprehensive investigation and make every effort to provide justice to the victim and her family.

The minister said the K-P government shared the grief of the bereaved family and stood by them during this difficult and painful time.
