KARACHI:

Talented students in Sindh's government schools are set to gain access to international academic competitions after the provincial School Education Department secured Rs60 million in support to connect them with global contests and certification programmes.

The funding arrangement was formalised through a Letter of Understanding signed between the Sindh School Education Department, Singapore International Mastery Contests Centre (SIMCC) and International Contests and Assessments (ICA) at a ceremony led by Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah.

The initiative is intended to give students, particularly those from remote and underserved areas, opportunities to test their abilities against international standards and build academic portfolios that could open doors to future scholarships and career opportunities.
