Endgame Encore teases a major Avengers: Doomsday surprise

Avengers: Endgame Encore will feature exclusive Avengers: Doomsday footage when it returns to theaters in September

Marvel fans are getting another reason to revisit Avengers: Endgame as the 2019 blockbuster returns to theaters with Avengers: Endgame Encore on September 25.

The special theatrical presentation will include an exclusive preview of the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday.

Tickets for the Marvel Studios re-release are now on sale, with the film scheduled to screen in IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified Premium Large Format theatres. According to Disney, audiences will see an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled for release on December 18.

The studio has also confirmed an additional sneak peek for viewers watching Avengers: Endgame Encore on IMAX and Infinity Vision screens. While the announcement does not indicate that new footage has been inserted into the original movie itself, fans can expect additional Avengers: Doomsday material during the special presentation.

The upcoming footage could provide more clues about the next major chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One potential focus is Steve Rogers, following the events of Avengers: Endgame and his decision to travel back in time to reunite with Peggy Carter.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame concluded the Infinity Saga after 22 films and became one of the biggest movies in cinematic history. The film starred Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd and Brie Larson, among others.

The Avengers: Endgame Encore re-release gives Marvel fans the opportunity to experience the superhero epic on the big screen again while getting an early glimpse at Avengers: Doomsday. The original theatrical version remains available to stream on Disney+.
