NA session adjourned over quorum

ISLAMABAD:

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah adjourned the proceedings of the House till Tuesday (today) at 11am due to a lack of quorum.

During Question Hour, MNA Iqbal Afridi sought the floor from the chair.

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, however, said that the floor would not be given to him during the Question Hour and that he would be allowed to speak after completion of the Question Hour.

Following the speaker's refusal, the MNA pointed out the quorum.

After a headcount, the House was found to be inquorate.

The speaker then suspended the proceedings until the quorum was completed.
