Dar arrives in London for five-day UK visit

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in London on Sunday to undertake a five-day official visit to the United Kingdom from Aug 24-28, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Dar is scheduled to meet the secretary-general of the International Maritime Organisation to discuss Pakistani crew members held by Somali pirates aboard the MT Honour 25 oil tanker.

High Commissioner of Pakistan to the UK Tipu Usman received the FM at London's Heathrow Airport.

During the visit, Dar is due to meet UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office minister of state for Pakistan Stephen Doughty.
