Two blind murder cases traced

Police have solved two blind murder cases, including the killing of a 10-year-old boy, and arrested the alleged perpetrators within a week, a senior police officer said on Friday.

Speaking at a press conference at his office, SP Iqbal Town Chaudhry Saeed Ahmed, accompanied by DSP Saddar Faisalabad Shahid Gujjar, said police had arrested suspects in separate murder cases registered at Thekriwala and Saddar police stations.

In the first case, a man was allegedly shot dead on August 15 in the agricultural area within Thekriwala police station limits and the killing was subsequently given the appearance of a robbery.

The victim, identified as Danial Saeed, son of Muhammad Saeed and a resident of Usman Ghani Colony, Ghulam Muhammadabad, had gone to an agricultural field to irrigate the land when he was allegedly shot dead by his acquaintance, Waseem, son of Anwar, a resident of 232-RB Bawa Wala.

Following the incident, Faisalabad City Police Officer Tanveer Hussain formed teams under the supervision of Thekriwala SHO Sub-Inspector Tahir Shabbir to trace the killer.
