Woman allegedly shot dead by brother-in-law

A woman was allegedly shot dead by her brother-in-law over allegations of illicit relations in the Dhaka area within the jurisdiction of Kundai police station on Saturday.

As per the first information report (FIR), suspect Abdul Jabbar, along with his relatives Abdul Hakeem, Farooq and Ameer Din and two unidentified accomplices, allegedly opened fire on his sister-in-law, Muradan Bibi, while she was sitting at home.

The suspects fled the scene after the shooting, police said. Police crime scene and forensic teams collected evidence from the site and registered a case under Sections 302, 311, 148 and 149.
