Sub-inspector, sister held by police

A sub-inspector and his sister were arrested after allegedly attempting to secure the release of his nephew from Kot Lakhpat police station and getting into a scuffle with personnel.

A case was registered on the complaint of Investigation Wing SI Muhammad Akbar against Junaid Ahmad and his sister.

According to the FIR, the suspect who is posted at the investigation headquarters arrived at the police station in uniform along with his sister to seek the release of his nephew, Zain Ali alias Sooraj who had been arrested in connection with an FIR.

Junaid and his sister allegedly abused and manhandled police personnel and interfered with official duties.

The FIR accused him of misusing his authority. The official and his sister were arrested, while an investigation was under way.
