Case registered over illegal tree cutting

Police have registered a case against persons allegedly involved in the illegal cutting of a tree in M Block, following a complaint by the Municipal Authorities.

The action was taken after the unauthorized cutting of a tree in the M Block area came to light. Assistant Commissioner Jawad Hussain Malik took notice of the incident and directed that legal action be initiated against those allegedly involved.

Officials warned that protection of green cover remains a priority for the administration. Officials added that plantation and tree protection measures are also being carried out across the city under the "Green Burewala" campaign to promote a cleaner and greener environment.
