Woman found dead in apartment
Circumstances around death remain unclear, husband, employee detained

A married woman was allegedly murdered under mysterious circumstances in the Askari Apartments area of Rawalpindi's Civil Lines police jurisdiction.
Her body, bearing signs of torture, was found partially hanging from a bathroom shower, with her hands tied behind her back and a wire noose around her neck.
Police registered a case against the woman's husband, Dr Faisal Imam, her father-in-law and a domestic employee on the complaint of the victim's brother. The husband and employee have been taken into custody.
According to police, the victim's brother, Fahad Javed, said his parents are elderly and have been ill for a long time. He said he has one brother and two sisters. His elder sister, Nadia, lives in Canada, while his younger sister, 45-year-old Hina Javed, married Faisal Asghar in November 2025.
Fahad said he received a call from Colonel retd Asghar Fayyaz, his sister's father-in-law, asking him to come immediately because of an emergency.
When he arrived at the apartment with relatives, he learned that Hina Javed had been found dead with both hands tied behind her back, a cloth placed over her face and a wire tied around her neck. She was tied to the bathroom shower and was partially bent toward the floor.
He said blood was coming from her mouth and there was also blood on the bathroom floor near her hands.
Fahad alleged that his sister had been killed by her husband, Faisal Asghar, in collaboration with his employee Zeeshan Arshad and his father, Asghar Ali Fayyaz. He alleged that she had been subjected to severe torture and suffering before her death.
