'Humanitarian aid a universal right'

Humanitarian assistance is a universal right that must be provided to people in crisis without discrimination based on political, religious or ethnic affiliations, speakers at a World Humanitarian Day event said on Wednesday.

The Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW) jointly organised a special media talk, titled "Voice of Conscience", at the Alkhidmat Complex to highlight the importance of humanitarian access and protection of vulnerable communities in conflict and disaster-hit areas.
