Lanjar orders probe in 'gang rape' of minor boy

Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar has taken strict notice of the alleged gang rape of a minor boy in Nara, Khairpur, and directed the district police chief to launch an immediate and impartial investigation.

The minister sought a detailed report from the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur and directed him to ensure the immediate arrest and prosecution of those found involved in the incident in accordance with the law. Lanjar also ordered authorities to provide all possible legal protection to the minor victim and his family.

He further directed police to investigate the alleged video of the incident circulating on social media and take legal action against those responsible for recording, sharing or circulating it.

"Any negligence or dereliction of duty in such a serious case involving alleged abuse of a minor will not be tolerated," the minister said.
