Traders take to streets to seek justice for Waffix owner

KARACHI:

Traders staged a protest on Wednesday against the murder of Mir Raza Ali, the young owner of the popular dessert brand Wafflix, disrupting traffic on Gulbahar's main thoroughfare and causing inconvenience to commuters.

The demonstration, organised by the Gulbahar Traders Ittehad, was held by traders of the Sanitary and Tiles Market. Mir Raza Ali's father, Mir Hussain Ali, also participated in the protest. Addressing the demonstration, the victim's father said the family had lost hope of getting justice and appealed to the prime minister to intervene.

"Twenty-two days have passed, but we have still not received justice."
