Boy falls to death into open manhole

LAHORE:

A seven-year-old boy died after falling into an uncovered manhole in Hanjarwal on Tuesday.

According to rescue officials, the child, Hakeemullah Zaheer, fell into the open manhole and died.

Rescue personnel retrieved his body and shifted it to Jinnah Hospital.

The incident occurred in the vicinity of Hamza Park in Hanjarwal.

Local residents said the street was poorly lit, making it difficult to spot the open manholes.
