City police chief calls for result-oriented investigation system

The Karachi Police Chief Azad Khan visited the Police Training School in Garden, where he chaired an important meeting on improving the quality of investigations and bringing the investigation system in line with modern requirements.

The meeting was attended by the DIG Administration, zonal DIGs, DIG CIA, district SSPs (Investigations) and other senior police officers, according to a Karachi Police spokesperson. On the occasion, the principal of the Police Training School gave the Karachi police chief a detailed briefing on the overall performance of the training school, ongoing training programmes and the specialised training being provided to investigating officers under the School of Investigation.

Issuing directives to the officers, Karachi Police Chief Azad Khan said the investigation system should be made more effective and result-oriented by bringing it in line with modern requirements. He directed that special attention be given to the professional training of investigating officers and that merit, transparency, professional standards and modern investigative methods be ensured in the investigation of cases.
