Man held for staging wife's death

KAGHAN:

Police have arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife by hitting her on the head with a stone and later staging her death as a mountain fall in the Dheri Manwar area of Kaghan.

Police said the victim, identified as wife of Rustam son of Daplazir who got married around 10 months ago against the wishes of her family. The family had reportedly severed ties with the couple following the marriage.

According to the police, the woman's family was informed on August 12 that she had fallen from a mountain and died.

However, an investigation later revealed that she had allegedly been struck on the head with a stone and killed, while the incident was presented as an accidental fall.
