Progress has been made in the investigation into the targeted killing of TikToker Shamsu Bibi alias Ayesha within the jurisdiction of Taxila police station, with a special Rawalpindi police team detaining three suspected individuals during operations in Taxila, Attock and different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The detained individuals are close relatives of nominated suspects Kashif alias Kashi, Kausar and Javed and were reportedly in contact with them.

Police have also completed geofencing of the crime scene, while the victim's mobile phone has been sent for forensic analysis.

According to investigation sources, the murder of TikToker Shamsu Bibi alias Ayesha took place on the evening of August 14 in the Taxila area. A special police team has since been investigating the case to arrest the suspects and determine the motive behind the killing.

Sources said police had expanded the investigation beyond Taxila and detained three suspected individuals from Taxila, Attock and various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. All three are said to be close relatives of nominated suspects Kashif, Kausar and Javed.

During questioning, it also emerged that the detained individuals were in contact with the nominated suspects.

The investigation team also carried out geofencing of the crime scene and surrounding areas. Initial technical investigations showed that the mobile phone locations of the nominated suspects did not place them at the crime scene.

According to sources, their mobile phone locations showed them to be in Murree at the time of the firing. Police are therefore examining in detail where the suspects were actually present at the time of the incident and who was using their mobile phones.
