LAHORE:

The city has improved its position in the World Traffic Index.

"The improvement in Lahore's travel-time performance is the outcome of sustained traffic management measures, evidence-based enforcement, technological integration and awareness of road safety," Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Abdul Raheem Shirazi stated.

However, he acknowledged that inadequate road infrastructure, parking facilities and encroachments continued to hamper traffic, adding that coordinated efforts with relevant civic and administrative departments were being made to address these issues.
